Local places of interest include Highclere Castle, Blenheim Palace and Donnington Castle. The Corn Exchange (in the town centre), New Greenham Arts and The Watermill Theatre (both just outside the town) provide excellent facilities for the arts. Reading, Oxford and Basingstoke are all just a short train journey away, offering large shopping centres and multi-screen cinemas as well as their own distinctive attractions.
